As a motor bike owner you will probably have considered getting a dedicated motorcycle shed at one time or another.
As a Triumph owner I myself struggled for a while as to whether to get a dedicated motorcycle shed for my bike or whether some sort of portable shed might do the trick but I did realise that some type of shelter was necessary to keep my pride and joy in good shape.

I took a look at some portable motorcycle covers which involved a tube steel framed structure measuring around 6 feet wide by 12 feet long by 8 feet high and over which you stretch a waterproof cover. This shelter was fully portable because of the lightweight metal frame which was easy to set up.
I could have bought this shelter for my bike online and have it delivered to me in kit form. But one thing I was concerned about was the security of my bike and even though this portable structure did provide pretty good shelter, it would not have cut it from a security perspective.
For the security reason outlined above I decided that a garden shed type structure would be a better bet-this would be lockable, secure and with a nice shed ramp in front of it and a high enough entrance door I could ride my Triumph straight in.

I looked around at the options available and these included:
1) Plastic sheds from the likes of Rubbermaid
2) Metal sheds from companies like Arrow
3) Wood sheds which were prefabricated or getting the lumber myself and make a custom, backyard shed myself or a shed kit which would need only to be screwed together with all of the panels pre-cut, holes pre drilled etc.
When I did a little more research I found that the key factors for my storage problem would include
1) Security-my shed would need to be lockable and I would need to consider shed windows as well because I would not want potential thieves checking out my bike
2) Shed access-I would want the shed door and opening wide enough and tall enough to allow me to ride my bike straight in
3) Insurance considerations-I made some calls to my insurance company to check that what I had in mind would be in compliance with my insurance policy and if my bike was stolen I would not run into some exclusion clause.

Having considered all of the factors I actually opted for a plastic/vinyl shed from Tuff sheds. What I liked about this solution to my storage problem was the simplicity and ease of construction, the huge range to choose from and I could buy one big enough to allow me to tinker at my bike without being too restricted for space and the fact that I would not have to worry too much about staining the shed or termite infestation and so on.
Plastic/vinyl sheds from Tuff or Rubbermaid or Duramax or Keter are incredibly durable and require no maintenance or painting.
The key thing I needed to be careful about was that I put in a good, firm base for my shed which was well drained. In fact I constructed a concrete pad in my backyard at the end of the garden on which I subsequently placed my new motorcycle shed when it was delivered.
A good place to take a look at motorcycle sheds is Amazon as they always have good deals in prices and sometimes free shipping. You can take a look at what Amazon has to offer here.
